For game code - yes, game detects inputs as A,X, or common gamepad L or R stick, and what?
You don't have second stick and can't play a lot of games with gamepad support. Especially if it has controllable aiming/camera rotation + movement
But there are more cases.
Like, Tekken, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat support gamepad.
SF is more comfortable with Stick coz it requires rotational moves and big buttons under each finger provide faster inputs, but MK, requiring to hold block all the time, is better with gamepad.
Not even talking about Death Stranding, A Plague Tale, etc with full gamepad support
Or even if they had it as a tag. I mean i guess fighting tag is kinda there but it doesn't encompass only fighting games (and not all fighting game shave the support) So I think it'd be a good change, especially for fighting games and beat'em ups.
Some Arcade sticks got a 3rd party programs that fix the problems with "input".
