Is Steam Broadcasting only for Games, or is it more open for game framework broadcasts?
The MonoGame Foundation is looking to expand its reach to game developers with its current Month broadcasts for framework updates and news, possibly expanding on that in the coming months with interviews and live sessions.

Question is, is Steam Broadcasting a potential platform for that with its relation to gaming, or it is only really intended for published games?

Its possible to do general/OBS streams into steam broadcasting, but afaik you can only start a stream under some published game that steam thinks you are running and then the stream will show up in the category for that game.

Unless you have a developer account, then i think you can stream directly into the store page for your game.
