I hope it's easier - it seems like all the CGF functionality is from a couple years ago when it was popular to do with Blender.

Blender is pretty powerful so I'd prefer to see the capacity there too, but I'll settle for SketchUp if you get it going - and be very happy! :)

Note: I'm working on the dependencies for getting blender to properly import/export the CGF files right now.

Hmm, there was an issue with flickering in the SDK viewport but I fixed it by changing the SLI configuration to "Force alternate frame rendering 2" - just in case anyone else gets it.

Weird, that is what I did and it immediately started crashing and throwing errors when I did it and tried to browse the files. I narrowed things down for the character's 3D models to just issues with the shaders but still get crashes on either. Sigh, I'll reinstall.

So am I! But my Free SDK crashes any time I try to open something...not sure what the deal is. Maybe I'll reinstall it when I have a moment.

Also, I'm waiting for a general usage guide for getting things like that SoD to the SDK, as you said, Warhead Killor ;)

As for the discussion, I updated it to add how to handle the CryEngine setup for asset viewing so people don't have to reload the game ad nauseum.

Actually, I mentally converted the .85 into a percentage and thus typed it as 85%, haha. Funny how the end color made sense with what you said. That's what I get for trying to multi-task :(
