Found out the voice_avggain helps with the audio issue.

I know this group is probably dead, but is there any way to change the volume of the song being played? Increasing or decreasing the volume w/ the arrow keys doesn't seem to do anything, and changing the levels on the virtual audio cable doesn't help either.

reinstalling sourceradio did not fix the issue

small correction: the program does take requests properly. the error appears when it tries to play the song

I sort of abandoned it temporarily, as I've had a lot going on (i.e. finishing school, getting a job). Things have recently settled down, and I have time to devote to side projects once again.

You can use your ingame dev console to request songs, but you'll need to use underscores rather than spaces. (e.g. !song_darude_sandstorm). The console will give an "Unknown command" message, but that's expected.

Is the any other way to put a song?

Hey, I need help with my copy of SourceRadio.

I have similar issue as nova. It says about java in cmd. Im sure I installed it right.

Try typing exec sourceradio.cfg in the game's console.

Is anyone else not able to use the b automic option?

A frind of mine wanted to know if he could install it to tf2c. TF2c is basically like an old tf2 but its located in sourcemods/tf2c instead of common/tf2. Is there a way to set the directory of specific games?

Yes, I addressed this on the next page of the comments. I introduced a bug last version. Adding yourself to admins.txt worked for me. If you need help doing that, the documentation on GitHub describes that process in detail.

It seems that I can't do any command besides !song. Is there a way I can add myself to admins.txt because I can't figure it out.

Deleting the program folder is not the same thing as uninstalling. If you haven't emptied your recycling bin, you can restore the folder and use the uninstaller. If not, I could send you the uninstaller if you message me your email address.

I need help with reinstalling this
When I last updated it I think the download messed up as it would error every time I played a song so I decided to reinstall it. I deleted the SourceRadio folder in Program Files (x86) but the installer still claims that I have "the current or newer version of Source Radio installed". Any way to fix?

You can't use both microphones at once, but there is a program called SoundSwitch [github.com] that easily lets you toggle between two microphones using hotkeys.

its over riding my microphone. outside of tf2, how do i fix this?

Your SteamID should go in properties.txt.

It doesn't seem to think I'm an admin. !song works perfectly for me, but that's about it. I can't use !skip, or volume up/down, etc.

I added my own steamid3 to the admins.txt, but this still wont work. Do you have any suggestions?

1. You can customize the message at ...\SourceRadio\properties\properties.txt. Not getting kicked is an art, though. I tend to send the instructions several times before playing a song and prefer someone else to make the first request. Otherwise, people feel imposed upon. If no one bites, then starting with a popular song (e.g. Darude Sandstorm) is a good bet.

2. Let me know how well your variation works. Plebs may take the brackets literally. I've been using "Type '!song song title' without quotes to auto-play music through my mic."

Gmod doesn't support the con_logfile command that outputs a log of the console that is updated in real time. There's a way to do it, but it will take quite a bit of work. I'll get to it in the summer.

Ok i finally got it to work, and it works great (playing tf2) but i have a few suggestions.

1. It surprised me how many people don't know how to MUTE! Include it in the message you get from pressing N how to mute, because I keep getting votekicked.

2. Make the N message more obvious. Instead of saying "Type !song and then a song name", make it say "do !song <name> to choose a song."

3. I would really like support for TF2 Classic (tf2classic.com)
