We are looking for feedback from listeners before we announce it formally on the podcast. Let us know what you think! (And please consider making a pledge!)
Because of this show, I bought MGS V: TPP (and am still addicted), laughed about some of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ purchases (Mad Max, which JJ correctly guessed would not win GOTY 2015), was guided in my quest to conquer my backlog (got Life is Strange waiting in the wings), and I'm nearly convinced to buy a PS4 because the digital/indie offerings are so good and you've covered many of them on your show.
I have friends stuck in the Destiny/ The Division/ COD Giant Feedback Loop of Suck and it's just nice to listen to a show about games not designed around classical conditioning.
P.S.: This show reminds me, twice an episode, that I need to show my kids WarGames, see if that picture holds up among the iPad crowd.
Because of this show - I'm adding "Life is Strange", "Superhot", and "Firewatch" to my queue. I'm 33, 1 kiddo (2.5 years old), and have loved games all of my life. With less time these days to play - it's great to get wonderfully insightful reflections / observations on some really great games from people with similarly busy schedules.
JJ, Chris, and all - any chance of a listener game night on Steam?
I'm really excited to finish LiS tonight and already looking forward to Firewatch after. Narrative games that can be completed (episodically or entirely) in shorter sessions are perfect for me, and I expect my tastes will only overlap more as fatherhood becomes reality. Would love some recommendations from similarly-minded users here as well!
