I've never done a fantasy draft in madden so I'm not sure how rankings work. I was assuming a live draft would be where we can choose our own players when it is our turn. The rankings are there only for if you can not make it so it would auto pick for you. If you are going to be there for the draft I wouldn't even set the rankings.

Another question I have is team selection. Depending on how many people are in the league do we want to split up the teams equally for each conference? Or if we have a low number maybe we should put everyone in the same division (ex: if we have 4 people playing everyone one in NFC west or something) that way we get multiple games with shackers.... I'm cool with whatever, but just wanted to bring it up.

Quick question: I haven't played in an online franchise before - When I'm selecting my draft order (the numbers beside the name) Is that the order it will pick for me if they're available? If so, would it be prudent to select multiple QB's early in case one of them gets scooped? On the contrary, if both are available will it select both? A simple explaination or link would suffice.
PS. Hopefully we can do this draft sunday?

NFL final rosters are due on August 31, but it can be delayed up to 5 days when teams have exemptions due to Roster exemptions ( Percy Harvin ) so I think we'll see an update at around September. If its a fantasy draft, than we don't need to worry too much since we won't be playing the base rosters and can start the league earlier.

Fantasy draft it is. Any ideas on when the final roster update will be out? I'm assuming right before Week 1 of the regular season, is that right?

I'm all for the Fantasy draft as well. Are we going to wait for the first roster update or just roll with it? I'm available sundays, mondays, and tuesdays every week.

Yes for fantasy draft for me to.. I'm on west coast and don't get home till 7pm at the earliest so it might be hard to schedule a time if the draft takes a couple hours.
