...I finally traded that Unusual Shooter's Sola Topi (Vivid Plasma) and seven keys (none of it was even mine lol) for an Unusual Dragonborn's Helmet (Steaming). Many thanks to Nova for doing the deed!

Also, thanks to Razz and Skittles for their help throughout those two years in trying to get it traded for me. All those days sitting in trade servers, TF2Warehouse, and it was another awesome SSS member that did the trick :)

IMPT: The server is going to die in 2 days

Or more specifically, the server (AND NOT THE GROUP OR THE COMMUNITY) is slated to go down in 2 days on January 18, which is the end of our 3-month billing cycle for which we have no funds to pay. Therefore, we assume they (Gameservers.com) will shut us down.

So I encourage everyone who wants to play for probably the last time on the server to come on either today or tomorrow before it goes down. I'm sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, and I know for a lot of us the server was our haven and place for fun, so it's really too bad. And yeah, Valve gave us an extra fuck-you by killing all the mods and such, so thanks again for that.

"But wait, Dirp, is this really the end? We've lost the server before, and it got revived. We could put in more money!"

Unfortunately, yes. For those of you who know me pretty well or are on my friends list, you'll notice I don't play games very often let alone get on the server and be admin-like. And that's because I started grad school, and it just REALLY eats away at a lot of my free time. I'm also pursuing other hobbies and interests like making music (if anyone wants to ask about that, feel free to message me).

tl;dr I've been way busy with school and other things I prioritize more than the server, and I just can't be that active and come on everyday like I used to.

Another thing is no one agrees on what mods to have on the server and what to play. People new to the server want fun mods and Death Run all the time while people who have been with us from the beginning are maturing and wanting to do more vanilla and less mods. I can't really cater to both sides, and the constant struggle to please just really demotivates the admin team. I'm not pointing any fingers, and I guess this should have been addressed sooner, but it's just another reason nothing's been happening.

But fear not, the group lives, and everyone will still be around and available for contact. Some of us will play other games, and we can certainly play on TF2 together on other servers. So don't take this as the end of SSS, but rather the end of the server. So RIP to the server, I guess. It's been a really awesome 2 years, and I'm pretty proud we stuck it out so long

The SSS TF2 server will be down for maintenance for an undetermined amount of time (hopefully not longer than tonight). Aka we wiped the server for a full reinstall so that we can get Sourcemod back. Then we'll work on putting in all the mods we want back piece by piece.
