Everyone claims the ALO arc was cliché, I guess maybe but I still liked it over the SAO arc for various other reasons.

Got the first 2 light novels, taking my time to translate them, but so far the story keeps jumping time areas, while the anime is more straightforward.

I wonder if I should take my time to read the light novels, I personally liked the ongoing ALO saga (I like to call it Season 2) and I can't wait for the finishing episodes from the anime.
