update the server

any admins want to restart the server so we can play with the update we had just got

I restored the save, sorry about that. For some reason I was thinking it was wipe week. Map size, I randomly change up a little from time to time.

Why did you decrease map size again and wipe the map a week early??

Done, though please keep in mind this is the first week of classes on the campus where I host the server so we may see some lag spikes. Usually calms down after the first week.

Can someone restart the server please? It is lagged and rubber banding to the point of unplayable.

We are testing out a new server "Rust for breakfast mini", which is a much smaller map (1850). There should be more player interaction with this map size.

Maybe not to the full 4k size, probably 3k-3500.

People can play Rust however they want to play it. If that means running around collecting resources and building, that's fine. If it means running around killing people for the sake of killing people, that's their choice too. If they don't like that our server isn't a PvP warzone, they can find a new one. I'm not here to tell anyone how to play the game. So far the map size change wasn't a popular choice. It'll probably get restored after the next wipe.

If you want the pop to average 6, and just run around collecting resources feeling like a general badass, you should probably be playing minecraft/terraria on a private server.

I feel if the map size goes over 2500 its going to be even more dead than it usually is...

Typically an admin will increase map and pop size based on demand. If your pop isn't getting over an average of 6 any wipe, it has to do with advertisement. If it isn't that, it could be ping related... not sure if ferris has traffic throttled...

Yes, we are doing a wipe and we also reduced the map size to 2500km. I've also reinstalled the Rust iO plugin.

Are you going to wipe today? I'd imagine you'd get a big pop boost if you did. Also, I was wondering if you'd be cool with me making a new intro screen and icon for the server.
