As you may or may not know, Raptr is going through some big changes. Over the next several weeks, we will be recruiting a hand full of community members to help us test, use, and generate content for the early version of our new website.

As Raptr's user base has exploded over the past year, the number one improvement that we wanted to focus on was to ensure that our service remains fast and nimble. "Speed" is one of our company mantras, so we've rewritten both our client and web site which has resulted in significant performance improvements. We are pleased to finally roll out the latest update, version 1.6, which will improve the efficiency of the Raptr client and website by leaps and bounds. We are talking about an average of 66% improvement across the board!

Last fall, after we released our Multi-IM version of the Raptr client, we reviewed all the feedback from our users, as well as all of our internal team members. We came to the conclusion that although we seemed to be on the right track with product features, the technology was beginning to fight us with each boundary we tried to push. As a result, we came to the conclusion that we would need to completely rebuild the Raptr Client. The decision was made to leave the current Raptr client up for download, but behind the scenes our client team literally started rebuilding the Raptr IM from the ground up. And for all you Apple fans, we created a brand new Mac client as well!
