To connect with to the server with the ip, open your console with the ~ key located to the left of 1 on your keyboard, type connect and then the ip and hit enter. If you dont have the developer console turned on, go to option>keyboard>advanced and check off enable developer console ( ~ ). to find it again after connect the first time you can find it in your history and add it to your favorites : )
