If anyone is struggling with mod mismatch error as they join the server, here's what works for me:

Go to Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods and delete its contents (but do not delete the Mods folder itself). You will then download the mods directly from the server next time you join. It may take a few tries if the mod files are large.

That approach has worked for me 100% of the time, but others have found that unsubscribing from the mods in the worshop works for them.

Good news! The DDoS attack is over, and our server host has both replaced and upgraded their equipment, which means Eclipse is back in business. We are letting our host take it from here, but there is an ongoing investigation and the culprit will be brought to justice :) All I'll say is, someone wasted a LOT of money to DDoS us for the weekend, brought down an entire data center in the process, and their efforts are going to be completely wasted. We do feel rather special to be the source of such extreme attention, though. ;) The mods of Eclipse don't believe in letting the terrorists win, so here's what's next:

Our server stability is restored. No more network-related crashes. We all know we are playing a game in alpha, so random crashes will happen occasionally, but overall we have a very stable server.

We will be wiping the server on Friday. I apologize for having to do this so soon, but I think many of you understand why this is necessary. The DDoS forced a lot of our population to leave. In order to have a healthy sized population again, we'll need to start fresh and the best day to do that is on a Friday.

Until Friday, we are going to install a bunch of silly mods on the main server so we can all goof around a little bit and try some new things.

This week is Eclipse Weird Mod Week 100x :) Let's have some fun and resume our usual shenanigans on Friday.

As many of you are aware, Eclipse is being DDoSed. The DDoS protection with our host is normally excellent-- we frequently get DDoSed and no one even notices. In this case, the traffic caused a switch to fail and it took out the entire data center. Our host is in crisis mode working to get it replaced, but replacing a switch is a really big deal and takes some time. Once the damages are repaired, we'll have stable service once again. I do not have an ETA from them yet, but I will let you know as soon as I know more.

Thank you for your patience, I know you all are very frustrated. The silver lining of this situation is that because the damages have been so extreme, the likelihood of prosecution has increased considerably. People who play dirty will get what's coming to them. :)

We are currently experiencing some issues with our servers as our host is being DDoSed. We have moved the autosave up to once every 15 minutes to help deal with rollbacks, if they happen, once we can get everything online again.
