Infinityward isn't our only concern now, Mac gamers have taken a stand. Let's put them in their place.

I just joined this group and I think i'm starting to understand all this. Yes, IW does suck but they DID bring us the actual game, which is like the only positive out of IW. Gotta give them a little credit. However, their plan of not putting in dedicated servers is the most stupid thing they could've done to this game. I've been on MW2 a lot and i've seen so many players complain about the host migrations during the game.

The only thing that sucks like hell in this new math making system is not of the lag, cause the game is quite popular and there are lots of players around us (and near us) so that lag wouldn't be a problem. But the thing is that a weaker Internet connection, lets say ADSL, its categorized with a Strict NAT then why would the match making system try to put you host instead of other players that have better connections. Because that would lead in throwing you out of the server. And yes the Strict NAT thing doesn't refer in having forwarding some ports and all that crap, its just a masked way to classify your Internet connection as being crap-like. So this is where IW's marketing strategy has made a success by hiding this issue before people would have bought it.
So in other words to make all understand ... yea ♥♥♥♥'em, cause they were not sincerely about the game's requirements.

This group fails... almost everyone here is playing MW2.

I'm disappointed a lot of my friends are pirating the game. By doing so, they are just playing in to Activision's hand when it comes time to come up with an excuse as to why their game is a failure.

I would hope you guys refrain from pirating it as well. Six hours of single player isn't worth giving IW/Activision the satisfaction that you cared enough about their game to pirate it.

There are two Open Letters available on the Infinity Ward forums quickly gathering support. The posts have been up for some time now, and should continue not to be deleted provided they remain civil. They demand responses from Infinity Ward, focusing specifically on the fact that the PC Community appears to have been abandoned.

Your support for either letter will make them a much harder sight to ignore. Any constructive help you provide will be appreciated.

I really think that we should not be discussing anything relevant to increasing the effectiveness of the boycott on IW Forums. They can censor, delete posts with little to reason and say it was an Accident!!
Like the 300 page petition post, oops sorry....

I dont mind the addition of matchmaking, but getting rid of dedicated servers and custom content is definitely a step backwards. Im worried PC gaming is gonna turn into this:

Modern Warfare 2 Needs to change to allow for dedicated Servers. I am not buying any Infinity Ward games till they change there mind.

MW2 need to change to allow for dedicated servers also.

So consoles are easier to use. We like our ability to learn and modify things tyvm!

Hey guys, just came here. What the hell is happening to PC Gaming? Seriously, Codemasters has no dedi server support for OP :DR, and now IW have none for MW2. It's a disgrace. Console is like cancer, it's slowly eating away at the PC gaming industry.
