Focusing Particles to one area

So, i've been trying to make a robot with glowing eyes using particles. But I can't make the particles focus to one area. Do you not USE particles to do that? Also is there a way to change the shape of the particle effect? (Like so the shape is not circular)

Sorry for late responce, and the shape of the particle effect... idk if i understand what you mean but i think not. Now when taking about making the particles focus... you gotta mess with the settings i guess, i never had to use particles, i only use effects.
