I don't seem to be able to install the mod via the launcher. All the directories are correct yet the second I click download it the launcher crashes. Anyone else having this issue?

Is there any other way of downloading 1.8 by not using the launcher? It seems like I am unable to download through it.

im having a problem downloading the game, it spikes like this when i start it: https://gyazo.com/c51e5b74a834cc6cd647120e8a010e02 and then goes to this after wards: https://gyazo.com/b356a6cb1569dfb63cdccaebd1211864 and is pretty much stuck there. I got 150 download and 100 up so it isnt internet related. Please help me im really desperate to be playing this mod again D:
