Things are still happening, just.. not here. :P
I stream now, so if you wanna yell at me in my Discord or on Twitch, feel free. I've been considering making it a part of my livecoding schedule, so I can at least have some proof of "I'm moving from idea to idea, and here's my reasons why" rather than these impromptu announcements that, honestly, are pointless unless I have some concrete things to show everybody.
Nebula isn't dead. It's just not here anymore.
I'm experimenting with different world models and doing research.
A lot of interesting things regarding world models have been done in MUDs and Interactive Fiction, so I'm taking some time to research how those folks do their world building.
Fascinating stuff. Hit the group chat if you want more.
Cheers,
blobby
Work requires thought, thought requires time.
I haven't posted on the announcements because a lot of the experiments I'm creating aren't really worthy of an announcement on the Nebula page.
If you ever have a chance, pop into the group chat. Sometimes, it's alive, and we talk about a lot of things. Other times, I'm out or asleep.
I'll make an update when something relevant comes along. For now, sit tight.
I really didn't expect this kind of explosion! Thanks everybody! You keep me working on this! :)
I'll be posting another update this afternoon. I can't even put it into words! This place is starting to explode!
You have another supporter. Very eager to see what you do with Nebula!
Join the chat sometime! I'm always blabbing about progress.
The first couple of builds will be a tad rough, but I'm not worried. Once the core is down, it should be easy to add more game-related stuff as we go.
"Beta" is for when we have some stable base of assets and gameplay. "Alpha" is when we have a stable engine. Right now, we're in pre-alpha. There will be builds available all the way until release.
Nebula will be free until I can't keep the lights on.
Honestly, starbound's a f*cking mess. And having followed it for so long, i can tell the ineptitude, and lack of work, really poured on out of off it's developers.
So, out of sheer hope, and respect, i'l definitely be keeping a close eye on Nebula.
I sincerely wish you the best of luck!
