Help with Modded GMR Games

I have been trying to set this up with a friend, but we have hit some blocks. Granted both our PCs are terrible but still can run single player modded Civ V just fine. I have tried using the Custom Advanced Setup mod to create a game and thats all I know of to try to start a modded game after looking through the instructions on GMR. I am looking for help in anyway and anyone who has successfully played a modded GMR game

I haven't even been able toget Custom Advanced Setup to install at all. :/

Also, I do believe the both of you require the same mods for it to work.

Do you play non-modded on GMR

@funkyjoe3 We do and did several modded games on GMR. You are only allowed one single mod to work with hotseat-multiplayer (and GMR certainly). Try to start GMR-modded-game as Scenario with only one single mod. Nevertheless you are able to use any map and also Y(n)AEMap with 22 players for your scenario additive to the one-mod-only-rule.

The 'custom advanced setup' in this circumstance is just 'one mod' for GMR. But...you could do some other things regarding hotseat-games in common with it, like loading special setups with several mods aso. So far we tested it, it mostly breaks any attempt for multiplayer or needs too much steps to be conveniant.
