Trouble with Update [Solved]

Hey all,
I tryied updating the GMR desktop app when the update came out. It work and didnt. It said it updated but when i tryied to open the app it said i didn't have permissions to open it (i'm on the admin account at the time) so i delete the app intirely by going into control panel and tried to redownload it didn't work. I have now been tring for a week and a half (?? since it came out). yesterday i tried going into the app folder and deleting there (like it says in the last question of the GMR FAQ) but couldn't find any relating to GMR. So my question is this anyone have an idea of what to try.

When you tried to redownload it, you said it didn't work. Which part didn't work? The downloading, the installing? Or did it install but then you couldn't open it?

What were the symptoms exhibited when you attempted the download and reinstall? What are the error messages?

Also, which windows version are you using?

Also, so in this folder
C:/Users/my_username/AppData/Local/Apps/2.0/V47OXJ28.ZGH/NB5D1614.MYD (where those are random letters) you don't have 3 folders, starting with gmrc...exe, gmrc..tion, and gmrclient ?

The program downloads no problem i get the little disc icon (on my desk top) and but when i try to open it it says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I get the same message if its blocked and i give premission to open or it its unblocked.

64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium

No none of those are in the list. it goes from Curse to Gamm. Although for some reason i have to use the search funtion to even find the Appdata folder

Hi ,
You could try these steps - these are the typical steps to go through when this happens, I find it usually is method 6, the antivirus when I have this issue.
