Just remove the AI and make multiplayer the defacto setting. Maybe this can only be done in Civ 6. Sure sure, even I like setting the diffuculty to diety and whooping the AI by reloading everytime I lose a battle or get an unfavorable goodie hut. The AI is fun to play. But the point I'm trying to make is Civ 6 should be centered around multiplayer mode. It would be a drastic change to the civ series but I think it would greatly reduce the amount of whinning about the AI :P
BTW you can't have people hosting pitboss games, you need a dedicated server, and while i'm on the topic, the multilplayer i'm talking about is pitboss, where games last a month, not the one where you have to sit at your computer for 8 hours in a row.

Finally, I thought of a nice business model that might work. When you buy Civ 6 you get access to the server, so the game may cost $80. But, you loose access to the server once the first expansion hits, and once you buy the expansion you have access to the server again. At least until the NEXT expansion comes out. (or you just pay about $5 per month, i don't know)

I'm not a computer guy so I don't know how feasible this is. Also I don't know how big the PBEM community is. (I think it has a nice cult following :))
