You need to set in in 2 places.
1. Per Game allow or disallow it
2. Activate the Genertal Vacation Mode.
Then the AI will play your turns in Games were it is allowed without waiting out the turntimer.
In Games were only 2 Human Players are left that does not work as it will then become basically a singleplayer game .
