I don't think that is possible. But I'm not sure - the only way to know is to try it.

I know from experience that if you go to your GMR Profiles and change your password from encrypted to unencrypted you can play the game as a hotseat game if all your friends are over at one place.

As long as all of your friend's and your password is unencrypted you can play the game like a hotseat game on one computer without having to go to GMR and download the save file again.

Other than that... I'm not sure its possible to do a regular online game. I hope that helps you though. I find hotseat games to be the most fun personally :)
