If anyone is still interested in this game-mode, I've recently started an old-school server using some older version of MTA-DayZ (version 0.6 r292, so far I know the last decent version):
mtasa://46.101.214.124:22003
It's pretty vanilla, the only thing I added is the glue script. I've just started it, so it will be mostly empty, and I might reset it from time to time, since I'm still figuring things out... Also, the server is located in Germany, so US, Asian, etc. players can expect some lag issues.

Well we haven't played a lot, sadly.
So far this is some what decent mtasa://195.3.145.186:22003
It has quite a lot of custom skins, but it runs older version of dayz and has a glue on, which is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rare sight.
