Shock told me in Vegas that FCRW probably won't be playing in the Connery match, they have little interest.

So who is actually excited about the Connery match? There is an interest thread on reddit, but id like to hear more about your feelies.

I can understand not being appreciated. I had really hoped that everyone understood we failed across the board last match, and would have like an opportunity to redeem ourselves. I missed much of the internal aftermath, and knew there was some, but didnt know it hit the levels you are hinting at.

Negator I understood just fine, it's not your fault they have minimal reading comprehension. Not the reason we don't really want to play, it really just comes down to the fact that since there is so much interest in it now (Compared to SS#1) there are tons of outfits that don't really care about doing well, they just want to be in it to be in it. When you get blasted an entire match (not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun at all but a necessary evil somewhere on the map) due to force distribution and take additional heat for it constantly afterwards (as if somehow Plt.1s players suddenly became terrible), it doesn't leave a good taste in your mouth. I'll take ♥♥♥♥ when it's deserved, and can overlook quite a bit of ♥♥♥♥ even if it's coming from people who don't understand = numbers comp well. When you're not only not appreciated, but also given ♥♥♥♥ for taking the brunt of the force, there's 0 incentive to continue competing with players who are ignorant and don't give a single ♥♥♥♥ about winning. Not fun.

the server basis was only to serve as a loose skeleton, not an end all/be all. Currently just goign to pull from 2 hats comprising old server lines, then readjust to keep balance.

Has it been discussed at all to just field teams not based on server? Just a competative format with five-platoon teams, comprised of whoever. I'm sure there would still be problems but in the end a lot more people would be able to compete.

Also, I don't want to spark up more drama than necessary so I'll post this here instead of there. DA isn't really interested in the drama thats become server smash. Too many people, too many people that just want to play to play.. being the competitive person I am and the personal respect I have for anyone who leads outfits in any way, I don't want to become frustrated with something completely outside of my ability to influence. We all play the game in our own way and thats how it should be, but certain things work better than others in situations where there are publicly clear winners/losers and I can't help but get stressed when I know that some players will be there just to say they played in a SS and winning the actual match is simply an afterthought.

It's become clear that SS is not designed to foster an actual competitive situation and its much more akin to a youth soccer league where everyone gets a medal for playing. That mindset drives me absolutely crazy and instead of allowing an opportunity for drama and resent DA is simply going to withdraw from the events.

I apologize for whoever takes offense to this, I simply wanted to explain my reasoning behind us withdrawing from SS's because it was a mostly a good experience and I appreciate all the time everyone has put into the organiztion and execution of the prior two smashes.

Server smash invokes a bit of PTSD and i dont look forward to working with the SS team again. i suppose we'll cross that bridge when they ask us to fight again.

Outfit stat tracker and announcer made by [BAX]bobmitch. Its in browser (Only works in Chrome), as long as it's up it tracks and displays Kills, Deaths, Killstreaks, etc. of anyone who logs in while it's tracking. It also tracks totals of those values for the outfit.

Theres also a summary page and an 'outfit v outfit' page. The summary page shows top (and bottom) performers for the session.The outfit comparison page shows how many of an enemy outfit your outfit has killed and vice versa.

yeah. so many pubs. sooooo many pubs. its hard to get organized pushes going because so many people are content to farm, so each side seems to just give up and join the zergfest.

Yeah. I'm signed up for 12Mbps but in reality I'm usually getting 9Mbps at peak hours. And I'm playing from the west coast so if I can do it surely you can too Negator :)

16Mbps is...pretty good.

So, I just got moved into my new place, and discovered the rural nature of my city means the best internet i can get is 16 mbps from a terrible provider over DSL. This may be the end for at least 9 months.

Hehe, PSU averages every single member. Currently sitting on 6 very low br "placeholders" to appease public demand. Can probably throw them into DA2 now since the servers are merged :) I actually am only 2nd in BR100's to Recursion who has 60. I currently have 46, very soon 48 with some DA2->DA promotions. Retention is strong :) Lets see what dropping a couple br 20's does here

According to PSU, Team Mattherson has 6 of the top 10 outfits over 96, 8 of the top 10 outfits over 192, and 7 of the top 10 outfits over 384 on Emerald. We also hold the # 1 for each of these tiers.

Lets keep it that way.
