@trenzalore... Run! Run! Run from trading (sorry, had to reference the Doctor) if you can't stand people who trade for profit. There's a thin line between "trading for fun" and "trading for profit". One doesn't even exclude the other. In fact most of us like the uncertainty of trading. I agree that there's a growing cliché of traders who only speak in single words (and won't bother to learn some English), and care for nothing but profit. This happens. But I don't really see how (or why) I could exclude them. I guess it's a subject worthy of discussino on LT's forums.

Don't worry guys, I'm still hard at work on the trading system. I've grossly underestimated the time I needed to built a proper basic UI (it's probably my weakest point as a web developer), and it took me a week rather than a week-end, but it'll definitely be released before this week's end. One of the things that slowed me down is the fact that sometimes my code relies on LT member numbers, and sometimes on Barter member numbers... And some weird bugs like people having their tradables included in the database but not being matchable with because they're marked as inactive (= unable to log in) on Barter, and so far my code has relied on getting tradables from active users (+ previously active users). I don't know if it makes sense. Better get some sleep..

Can you please implement a system to shut out those people trading for profit? They ruin game trading and jeopardise the bundle system as selling bundle keys is against the bundle sites' terms and conditions. Constant infringements like those profit dealers do will eventually lead to bundle prices increasing, sites shutting down, and/or publishers not providing really good games for bundles anymore.

@Lestrade we are all hoping you can pull it off m8 .barter was the way trading should of always been .with out it many of us are lost in the mass of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ trade sites i know i will never bother using .for now i wait and see how Les Trades evolves ,wishing you the best of luck we will support you anyway that is needed to make it happen .

You can't for now, because you can't send trade offers. I *will* change that as soon as I enable trades, of course. It's still being written right now. (I'm trying to stick to Barter's way of doing it, so I keep rewriting to make it behave more like Barter. I shouldn't bother, I know!)

yeah that is a concern as those who can not log into barter can not modify their tradeables adding or removing .so unless we can get les trades modified for on site listing and trades we are doomed .

Hope you can capture the magic barter had ,trading will never be the same without it .i still have access as i do not log out .but not had a trade offer in a couple weeks now :(

Fylkia, I noticed the opposite today. I had a match for 4 games on a match oage (at barter), and when I clicked send offer, I only had 2 games to offer on my side. I checked and the game was nowhere in the user's lists (tradable, wishlist, library). Just weird.

I'm just hoping LT gets enough traction soon enough so that we can start making trades directly on it.

If there's demand for it maybe, but I'd rather the group focuses on announcements for the website.
There is already a board to discuss trades on lestrades.com itself. You can enable notifications in your profile (make sure to enter your e-mail address there.)

@Nao, This morning I added some games from a bundle to my trades list in barter. When I clicked on match I didn't get those new games in my match eventhough one of them was on 108 players wishlist. When I clicked to trade one player two of those newly added games suddenly showed up as an option to trade. So instead of two availabe games to trade I had four.
As I added them this morning I'm 99% sure its not a 0x. I have seen that when other players have 0x in their trades list that the checkbox is greyed out, or removed eventhough it was available when I was trying to match, but thats not what happened today.

Your page is great and fast, so I doubt I will face that barter problem again.

@EnemyWithin, don't worry, the Barter thing is never happening here. LT is safe and will remain so. There are backups everywhere, and unlike the Barter admin I'm not an anonymous user: you can find my name with a whois, I won't disappear overnight. ;) I don't need help with development though. It's manageable and challenging in the good way.

@Fylkia, maybe that person has 2 tradables marked as x0, meaning you can't make an offer on them but they'll show up in your offer creation page. (Or you can add them to your offer in some situations if you have theemu's user script, but it's not recommended to do that.)

Are you going to open source your code to help prevent what is happening with Barter.vg? You also might get some help with the development.

@alexschrod. The problems I experienced with barter is that its not updating probperly when I ask to sync. I want to see my newly added game when I'm doing my match not when I'm already trading with someone. Today I was trading and I had only two matches and when I desided to trade I suddenly had 4 matches with that player.

alexschrod, Barter.vg will no longer match anything beyond your 15 oldest tradables. If you have less than 15, then you're good to go. Otherwise you're screwed. Also, if you have more than 50 tradables, a match will take minutes to complete. On Lestrades.com it never takes more than a couple seconds.

How is it broken? I've been able to use it regularly. In fact, I tested it just now, and I'm not seeing any problems.
