Just a quick announcement, shamelessly. ;)

AzH, and I (CAW), whom are the original founders of L4D Forums have recently launched a new online gaming community for all generations of gamers! We've also mereged some older communities that we created in the past, that some of you might be familar with. Rock Paper Nuke (http://rockpapernuke.com) and Evil Gamers Online.

The new community is called XGen Gamers and can be found at http://xgengamers.com The community has only been up a few days but already is growing in size and numbers, building up with video gamers of all generations!

So, if you're a multi-gamer looking for a bit of variety in your video game discussions, check us out! Operated by some familiar faces; AzH, and CAW (known as Giz on XGen).

Coming soon, we will be lauching a new files service featuring the best mods, maps and media for Left 4 Dead.

Right now I am very interested in speaking to people who would like to help out on the site by posting files and reviewing released mods/maps.

If you have excellent grammar and spelling abilities and a desire to work on what will become one of the more popular dedicated resources for Left 4 Dead, leave a post on the forums expressing your interest and suitability and one of the Admin team will contact you.

Zombie Fiction Contest

"THE CONTEST

L4Dforums.com is running a competition for you to win a copy of Left 4 Dead. In order to enter you need to register at L4Dforums and submit your story in the Zombie Fiction Contest subforum. This is the only place entires will be accepted.

THE RULES
1) Your entry must be your own work. Entries borrowed or stolen from other sources, be they other fan fiction writers or other sources will be disqualified.
2) Your entry must be in the region of 1000 to 3000 words.
3) Your entry must be submitted by the (TBC) competition closing date. This will be confirmed once a release date for the game is confirmed.
4) The story must be zombie related but does not have to be set in the Left 4 Dead universe. If you are unclear on what constitutes a Zombie (why the hell are you reading this??) Please see this for details.
5) Must be unique to the contest. We will not be accepting entries that you have written and submitted or published elsewhere.
6) The winner will be decided by the staff of L4Dforums.

THE PRIZE
One copy of Left 4 Dead for PC delivered by Steam on release date.
Publication of your story on left4deadnews.com.
The envy of all your friends and the curses of all your enemies.
