Hambles respect to you Aye your very true that happened,lets say Queen Anne saved Scotland by sighning the treaty 1707. The ones that were in favour were the rich and wealthy nd supporters of the crown.The poor had no say thats why .We r still no better than back in 1707.

some Scots were in favour of Union because of the economic advantages because Scotland was skint (thanks to poor organisation of the Darien Scheme) and suffering from famine at the time before Union...
