Before I hit the centert on permadeath im trying to find a planet on the edge, but it seems that a group of people literally visited all of them

I got a beacon on a planet in my home system with half a dozen gold deposits with half a dozen gold deposits within a mile lol. Just finished gathering a ton of rigogen and I'll be planting autominers on them shortly ;)

Last two star systems i have been too there have been at least two plannets out of 4 with boat loads of gold on it.
