I just got IL2 installed, finally, and I have all my controls setup. Hopefully I'll be able to fly/crash-and-burn with you guys sometime this week.

Hey there goons, I'm a big history/engineering geek from Canada, finally getting my first stick and getting into "modern" flightsims (played DOS flightsims in my youth) which means I'm a novice pilot at best.

Should I practice my dogfighting first or play with you guys?

Supporting that at least listening in on mumble be required, it makes it a lot easier to see who's in-game. Besides which, piece-of-♥♥♥♥ microphones are inexpensive, easy to obtatin, and perfectly good enough for the bandwidth we're using, so there's not much excuse for not getting one!

In the thread I've proposed making it a requirement that people who want to fly must get on Mumble (and preferably have a mic). Reasons are in the thread. Thoughts?
