Yes definitely - when a new version is released (with new features) there will be an announcement here in this group. I'm also adding a window to the program that will have a list of changes, which should be available in the next version.

This is not recommended, as having Idle Master running while connected to a VAC secured server is the only possible way Valve could detect that you have it running. I doubt that they care, but if they do this is the only way that you could be punished for using Idle Master. To my knowledge, nobody has ever been VAC banned for running Idle Master.

Again, because Idle Master doesn't connect to VAC enabled servers, there is absolutely no reason to blacklist any VAC enabled games.

I've identified an issue where some people are showing available card drops on Steam for their holiday sale badge. As such, Idle Master is attempting to idle the "Holiday Sale 2014" app which results in a 404 - File Not Found error when it tries to download the header image.

If you're getting this error with Idle Master, you can try adding the Holiday Sale 2014 app ID to the blacklist (335590) which should correct the problem.

In the meantime, I'm working on a bugfix for the error condition. That being said, I'm not sure why exactly some users are reporting that card drops are available for the Holiday Sale 2014 badge as this is most certainly a bug on Steam's end.

I hope this information helps some of you who are having this issue.

Idle Master requires Steam to be installed and running on the same computer. There is currently no version of Steam for Linux that works with the Raspberry Pi's ARM processing architecture.

So unfortunately it's not possible.

Running the old Python version on Windows XP is still viable and safe, it just doesn't provide as many features as the new version. It will still automatically move from one game to the next when the current game it's idling has dropped all of it's cards.

My earlier comment was about manually skipping from the current game to the next one, which in the new version can be done with the click of a button but isn't a feature that's available in the old version.

I've updated the manifest file on the server which should hopefully resolve this issue. Please re-download the application from the web site and let me know if the issue persists.

Idle Master shares it's cookie data with Internet Explorer. If you clear your cookie data from Internet Explorer, you should be able to log in a different user in Idle Master.

I've been pushing small bugfix updates as issues have been identified. Once all of the bugs in this version have been ironed out, I'll start working on version 0.8 which will have new features.

Running the Python version of Idle Master in Linux means you'll need to install the application's required libraries before it can be executed. In Ubuntu this means running

sudo apt-get install python-bs4 python-requests python-pil.imagetk python-colorama

Then launching start.py
