It appears that games which are ineligible for Steam refunds (aka purchased off-site) no longer have a 2 hour idling requirement in the most recent server changes Valve pushed out a few hours ago. I'm hoping you guys can help shed some light on this and help me either confirm or deny this theory.

In the mean time, it might be a good idea to change Idle Master over to idle games individually (not in a batch) and let me know if you get card drops for a game before the 2 hour mark. If so, let me know if the game you were idling was purchased on Steam or purchased somewhere else.

No matter what the changes are, I'll try to update Idle Master once again to reflect these changes and attempt to make idling as efficient as possible again under the new guidelines.

First of all, calling this a "Major Design Flaw" is a bit disingenuous at best.

I understand that some people are frustrated with this behavior. Most people who use Idle Master aren't adding multiple games to their account everyday to even encounter the scenario you are describing.

While changes to this behavior ARE being looked into, please understand that changes like this typically take time to implement correctly and to thoroughly test.

Glad you got it working. For future reference, the "Ignore Steam Client Status" option in the settings will bypass this issue completely.

Windows users will simply need to copy the new start.exe file over their existing one. Linux/OSX users will need copy copy start.py from the Releases\Linux folder

The "Idle Master Helper" app (idle-to-ready) has also been updated to work with the new badge page layout as well.

Each game now requires at least two hours of idling before it even becomes eligible to receive card drops, after which it usually takes 30 minutes to an hour to receive each drop. This is due to the new refund policy, to prevent people from idling their games for less than two hours then requesting refunds.

By default, Idle Master will idle multiple games at once (in batches) up to the two hour mark, then start idling them individually. If you have a lot of games that need trading cards, it could take several hours at the beginning of the process before cards start dropping.

As long as Steam shows that you are "in-game" the cards will eventually drop. Just be patient.
