Trial and Error. He's just a user who got roped into mod position by being obnoxiously "present" for every thread

The only dev is Jshackles, the admin of the group.

I've actually had a friend refund a game and repurchase it, so I interrogated them about it at the time.

What happens is that your "card drops" for a game is static. If you refund/rebuy a game, steam remembers what it was on before.

So for example, if you bought CSGO (3 free drops) and idled it for 2, then refunded it because holy crap it's on 1 hr 50 mins, you'd have the 2 cards still. If you then bought CSGO again, you'd now have 1 drop remaining.

Equally if you had all 3 drops gained, you'd buy the game and have 0 drops.

As a side-note this "plot" will work exactly once in your account's lifetime, as upon refunding a game for the first time steam stops giving you card drops before the 2-hour mark. So you may wish to avoid getting refunds unless you want to have to play every single card game of yours for 2 hours to gain a bunch of cards worth 4c.

You're level 0, presumably a limited account. Spend money on steam and don't use keys.

Also you can glitch steam or have a game "reload" due to it crashing or you going offline then back online. They can't police the volume of false positives they'll end up with.

For me, I get VAC kicked even when I'm not using IdleMaster.
After I use IdleMaster for a while, I close it and 1 minute later, i start playing CS. I still get VAC kicked, and the only way to solve this is to restart my computer IF i had run IdleMaster in the past half an hour. Either that, or verify my CS game files before running it, which is not very ideal since I use a few mods in CS:GO.

Or you can restart Steam, which has the same result without the long downtime. As has been mentioned in earlier posts in this thread.

Problem with steam, solution is to change your game rapidly (about every 5 seconds) to flick between different games. This gives you quicker card-gain.

Check the page Hamster has given you. Do more than 1 of them declare that there's "Card drops remaining"?

If so please screenshot and we'll go from there. If there's not, then please read the FAQ under "Idling complete" as that should address why you only have 1 game (except you're not on complete yet since you have 1 left. Once that game runs out you'll reach complete).

I started four days ago with idling for 4850 cards from 1250 games. When going for maximum efficiency using the drop-on-exit bug I achieve a drop rate of 80-100 cards per hour. Now I'm at 833 cards from 276 games. So I expect to finish farming in about 10 hours.

In comparison, ASF gave me a best case estimate of 10 weeks and a few days.

That is impressive.

Long story short: You've run out of cards to gain from the idlemaster program. Steam/Valve give you only half (50%) of 1 single badge level for free. The rest you're expected to buy or trade for.
In short your idlemaster "Car" is out of fuel. You want it to get you more cards? Buy or obtain (via giveaways) more card-giving games.

To pre-empt a few followups I often get:
"Can I use <Free to play game, usually TF2> for cards?": Yes but you'll need to pay them about $20 USD to get 1 free card. Not cost effective but a nice freebie if you would spend that cash anyway.
"How do I get more games?": Check the storefront for cheap deals, you can easily get games 50c or less. Or if you're unable/unwilling to pay, join one of the dozens of giveaway groups, who will host giveaways or link to giveaways (depending on the group)
"Will turning the cards into gems/trading the cards mean it will work after they're gone?" Nope. Once your counter hits 0 that's the end.
