I wish everyone would go to this step before bothering everyone else about it. But I can promise that in under a week someone will post up an issue which could be solved by doing this. Because nobody actually checks the old threads, just post new ones.

He doesn't have a way to use the steam app, unlike you apparently. So he has to take the other option.

Windows Idlemaster is in C#. Non-windows version is in Python.

Yes. However, I do not know how myself. I just am aware of people who have done so.

What "frustrations"?

The steam trade lock extending to 15 days was too much for him, he no longer saw the point of trading in the cards if every time he does ANYTHING he has to spend half a month just waiting. Since idlemaster was always a program he just used for his own convenience and decided to share with the rest of us, he stopped updating the program (since he wasn't using it anymore) and let us all know in his final development diary that we wouldn't be seeing any more updates.

Congrats. This doesn't fix that you've already CLAIMED the cards. Thus you need more available. Go to your badges page. Look for any which say "X cards remaining", with X being a number. If any remain, then we can work on debugging idlemaster. If all of them say "No card drops remaining" then it's simply a matter of "Buy more games".

Make sure both idle and steam are on the same authority level. Sounds like one of them Is running as admin and the other as user

I don't know what else to tell you. Idle master doesn't magically make cards. It only lets you claim cards which steam is giving you for having bought card-giving games (and even these cards are finite and will run out). Idling complete means you have no more cards to claim.

Try run as administrator?

And you get more control of who you give the key to. Like the guy above me who, if you check his post history, is trying to sell a steam account. Consistant with his claim of being poor, but also against steam policy

I recommend you post up the game you have then wait for someone to claim the key in-thread, then you PM it to them. There's bots which will trawl forums to swipe keys by looking for things which look like keys.

Also you can then check the person if you're adding them as a friend and can make sure the claimant isn't the 10th idlebot of some big-shot trader.

I've done this in the past when giving out keys and aside from the above I also found it fosters a nicer feeling of community than just throwing out keys onto the forum :)
