Development of this app ceased years ago, so this is very unlikely to ever come up. If you wish, you could offer this suggestion to one of the other idle programs which exist, which still have active developers.

That said, while your spirit is in the right place, Valve long ago patched this particular exploit because people did exactly what you describe. They'd idle a game for just slightly under 2 hours then refund the game and sell the cards for a profit.

This does not work anymore because of one simple thing:

If you refund a game -ever- then Steam will not give you a single card drop until you reach 2 hours played. This is because, if you've been following along, people did this, it cost Valve money, they got mad, they fixed the problem. Drops occur from start if you've never refunded but try this stunt even once and you'll be stuck waiting hours for drops in the future.

When you refund a game, any game, for the first time, Steam disables card drops for the first 3 hours for all subsequent games purchased (This cannot be changed back to my knowledge but feel free to try open a support ticket to Valve asking to have the flag removed from your account. Best of luck with how notorious Valve's support can be).

Why? Because people kept buying games, idling all the game's cards, then refunding them and keeping/selling the cards. That's a loss for Valve, so they stopped people from doing it.

Yes. Easiest way is actually by using SAM (Steam Achievement Manager) and opening the game in question, then leaving it open. (There's a way through Idle Master but it involved command console which is just significantly harder to do)

This will get you hours played.

Disclaimer: This will NOT give you any cards. Once you have all the cards, that's it. You just have to wait for a random drop of a booster pack which can take weeks to months. It's a lottery who gets those packs.But if you want to idle hours played for an achievement or somesuch that's how you do it.

Any of these may be the source of the problem:

1) Some games do not have cards or badges. This means those games will be skipped.

2) Idle Master does not generate cards. It only checks ones you are owed by Steam. Therefore any games which have cards but you have already claimed (Eg: If you have played 22 hours of Gmod, you already have all those cards and Idle master will not bother loading the game

3) Games which were added since this program's discontinuation do not have their Steamworks code in Idle Master. This means those games will be skipped over simply because the program does not know to look for them.

If it is the third case, I recommend trying another program such as Archi's Steam Farm to claim those cards. If it is either of the first two, then don't bother with the stress of finding another program since they'll give you the same message.

Can you please check your "Badges" list?

If what I suspect is correct, you likely will find that all of them read "No cards remaining" or a variation of this (I do not know what it is in German). Idle Master does not produce cards, it just checks your account and goes "Ok Steam has not given you this card yet" and then idles that game to make that card drop happen. VALVE is the one giving the card, not Idlemaster, so this sounds like it's not a bug.

However if you have any games (besides "For Honor") which have card drops remaining please screenshot your badge list so I can see how many you're owed and then we can go through the trouble-shooting process 1 by 1.

That is not a glitch. That's addressed in our FAQ.

The program, Idle Master, does not give you any cards itself. It checks your badge list (which is controlled by Steam/Valve) and if you have any unclaimed drops given to you by Steam, it will assist you by imitating the game and allowing you to claim the drops. STEAM is giving you the cards. not Idle Master.

This "error" is what the program outputs when you have nothing left for it to do. It's going "You're all up to date, Idling is completed!"

If you want the program to work again, you will need to purchase games or acquire games from giveaways and add them to your account, adding new cards to your account for the program to find and then get steam to gift you.

You get the drops ONCE.

That's all. Steam does not give you unlimited free cards.

Why do you think they're not given away like Halloween candy?

This is managed in the FAQ and about 20 other posts asking the same question. I will answer to you the same as every other time. (Yes this is a bit blunt but you're the one who didn't bother to read the existing stuff)

Idle Master does not "produce" cards. It checks your account and sees what cards you have yet to claim from Steam. Once all cards are claimed (Equal to 1/2 of a one (1) badge for that game, eg: 3 cards from CSGO) the program will shut itself down to save your computer's resources. When it is off, it tells you helpfully "Idling Complete".

I checked your account you own a whole 11 games. I imagine you long ago got all the cards from your games and Idle Master thus cannot produce more cards from nowhere. You will need to purchase or acquire additional games to make use of Idle Master again (and before you ask, "Free to play" games like TF2 will not work. Those drop 1 card per $5 USD spent on the game in microtransactions).

If you want to know where to get more games for free, I suggest checking Steam's groups for a group which notifies you of free games being given away by websites. I can't offer too many recommendations there as mine would be in English rather than your native language.
