Longer answer: Idle Master detects as "I am playing <Game>.exe". Nothing more. Steam won't ban you for playing your games.

Glad to hear you've got it resolved now.

Then your other option is to revoke authorisation from Idle Master.

Go into your steam,
Steam > Settings > Manage Steam Guard Account Security and select "deauthorize all other devices".

This will revoke Idle Master's permissions, although it will also strip them from your browser, phone app, EVERYTHING, you'll need to log everything back in. So it's a bit of a nuclear option.

It's a bit clunky, but you can delete Idlemaster's file which has your remember-me data stored. It's covered in the FAQ thread, but to provide you with the relevant part (shamelessly stolen from said thread)



1. Close Idle Master

2. Go to:

4. Delete it.

5. Start Idle Master.

Note: "AppData" is a system/hidden folder, either copy and paste the folder location or change the explorer setting so that is shows hidden folders (google it).

We've never had anyone get banned for using idle master. We tend to recommend not playing VAC games just to avoid tempting fate but with 0 confirmed Idle master VAC bans, you'd not be unjustified in going for it.

I presume because you only have 2 games with unclaimed card drops. To save you hours of "idling" games which will give you zero yield, the program only idles games with valid card drops remaining.

This drop count is half of one (1) badge, rounded up (so a 7 card set will drop 4 cards). Additional cards past this point can be acquired on the market or via random booster-pack drops (which from my experience tends to be about once every 2-3 years per game. Yes this drop rate sucks, please file complaints to Steam).

Also I hereby would like to award you with a +1 to your necromancy level. In the future I recommend checking the last post-date of any thread since many forums will simply shut down a thread "revived" in this fashion without giving you an answer.

Unrelated. The program merely sends Steam a signal saying "I am playing this game."

I doubt Steam would want to set a punishment for playing a game.

Don't worry, all this program does is send Steam an ID number which translates to "I am sitting on <Game ID>'s main menu". Eg: "Shadok is playing Borderlands 2".

There's no input for actions, which is what is needed for VAC to detect you as "Cheating" and you actually CAN run multiple games at the same time. You're going to have a difficult time playing them both but it's doable (I once confused my friends a LOT because a game of mine glitched and told steam it was still running...leading to my game status flickering between the glitched game and my actual game for several hours until someone asked me to please stop spamming them). Valve isn't going to want to ban people for something which can happen due to a glitch in the Steam program.
