This. It's simple logic or we'd have seen the card market collapse already.

For interest sake, free games drop cards when you spend $5 USD on microtransactions.

If any game which was free dropped cards, you'd find those cards all priced so cheaply that you have to buy them in packages of 10 since everybody would have farmed it.

In all the time I've been moderator here, we've had dozens of people do this.

None of them got VAC banned for it.

I doubt you'll be the first case.

By default it will not choose to repeat games which have nothing left, to avoid wasting time, but if you specifically want to farm hours in a particular game (I do not know why since I cannot think of anything you would gain from doing so but I will not deny you the chance if you want to) the FAQ has a short guide on how to do so using command lines under "Force idle a game with IM?"

Have you made sure your firewall is not blocking the program? An obscure program such as this is easily caught in such filters.

Short version: Free games only give you 1 card per $5 (USD) spent on microtransactions. They don't give you free cards, that would devalue the cards into nothingness to the point that giving them away for a gag would be commonplace. As this is not the case, no freebies for you.

The link my fellow mod posted up is the FAQ. I recommend reading it. It addresses a lot of things about Idlemaster. Also reminds you about 2 dozen times that Idlemaster itself is broken and we're only even still replying on this forum because he and I are possibly mad.

Steam Servers are currently stressed to breaking point because of the steam sale. You might need to try at different times of the day (especially when the Americans are sleeping )
