ASF is not affected, it doesn't use obsolete authentication methods that IM uses, and never did. Moreover, even if it happened, I'd fix it in max few days, if not hours since the incident.

But maybe there's someone out there who knows a bit about programming (unfortunately, not me) and can use the source code in order to keep the project alive?

Every developer with decent knowledge moved to contributing to ASF[github.com] long time ago. IM is deprecated, obsolete and abandoned. Nobody is crazy enough to waste dozens of hours fixing deprecated software when it's known right away that due to internal program limitations it'll never achieve even 50% of ASF features.

I don't like to diss IM, it was a great piece of software when it lasted, but as a developer I should explain somewhere why nobody picked up IM development yet. Don't expect anybody to do, only a madman would try to resurrect IM from it's development death with knowledge of ASF existance.

Despite if Idle Master is obsolete Archi won't be better for 80% of users without a simplistic GUI. Not sure why it doesn't have one already.

ASF has two GUIs already made by two devs, I'm just not yet interested to merge them because they're not 100% satisfying. Nobody said you can't use them though.

I'm not quite sure why you don't idle your primary acc with ASF as well, considering you already use it for alts.

Next recommended step is to drop outdated, deprecated and unsupported software and find replacement[github.com].

Why in the world would you need an alternative? its open source O_o; visual studio is free to download. if you know anything about it, i've tweaked mine so when card-remains 0 it runs my 0 card drop with less than 2 hours also incase they ever add steam cards to those games. :selphinehappy:

Or you know, you could instead run ASF which does include that feature already .

So yeah, here goes your answer "why".

@Archi, my God, is your program great. I'm actually happy Idle Master got discontinued as I wouldn't find your awesome project otherwise. Though, of course, huge thanks to the IM developer who introduced me to this whole idling topic and helped get all the cards until now.

By the way, reading your docs is like reading a well written book. They are so detailed and comprehensible that it took me no more than 3 minutes to download, unpack and set the whole thing up and running, which is amazing.
