Free-to-Play games do not give any cards just for adding them to your Library, you must spend 9$US for each drop. Non-F2P games give half (rounded up) the number of cards in the set. Duplicates count against your allotment of cards. Trading/Selling/Using cards does not grant you additional cards.

On it's own, Idle Master can not get you VAC banned. VAC bans require connecting to VAC secured servers which IM can not do.

I've never heard of someone getting a VAC ban when they forget Idle Master was running and started to play a different game.

You would need a second installation of Steam, but in theory it would work.

No, but idling multiple games simultaneously will increase the time between drops.

where is the settings.txt file?

The Linux/Mac version should be where ever you downloaded it to.

I don't know where the Windows version places it, assuming it actually stores the data in Settings.txt

If you're using the Windows version, logging out and back in should work. If you want to manually enter the info

Rather than entering your username and password, you can open the program, click "Settings", then click on the lock icon in the lower left. From there you can enter your cookie data manually by following these directions[github.com]

If you're using the Linux version, the same way you initially entered the info.
