Through playing, you only get half the set. For the remaining cards, you have 3 options
1) Trade with other players
2) Purchase the cards off the Market
3) Wait patiently for a booster pack

Short answer: Idle Master is safe.

JShackles is not collecting account info or other nefarious activity.

While Idle Master may be a violation of a loose interpretation of the SSA, Valve is aware of its existence and has taken no action opposing it. It's not uncommon for folks to forget Idle Master was running and connect to a VAC enabled server and there has been no evidence that it lead to a ban.

You can, but it's not advised. There has been no report of getting a VAC ban from running IM, but IM is not an authorized program and it's quite possible tomorrow Valve will decide to crack down and not give any forewarning. Running multiple games simultaneously will also have a negative impact on the rate you receive cards, either increasing the time between drops or outright preventing drops depending on who you talk to.

As a general rule, the game must be below 0.20$US in order to make any money. Keep in mind, Steam.tools reports the price users will pay not how much you'll receive.

Without finding some way to run a second instance of Steam, no. Idle Master just tells Steam that Game X is running, there is no way to specify who is running it. The logging in, or supplying cookies info, is just used so http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/my/badges/ will work correctly so IM can accurately see what games have drops remaining.

Sounds like Idle Master is checking the wrong account. Sign out of Steam on your web browser of choice and then back in using the Melphin account, this should make sure the cookies are using the proper data. Then enter the (hopefully) updated cookies data into the Settings file.

You only get a finite number of cards per game (half the set to be specific). Trading/Selling/Using the cards does not grant you additional/replacement cards.

This is no longer 100% true. Some accounts are getting drops prior to the 2 hour mark (I personally get cards consistently at 30 minute marks). Whether you need to idle 2 hours seems to be tied to whether the account has requested a refund, but there has been some contrary reports so it's not certain what governs the requirement.

When I mentioned timer I meant the interval between receiving cards, not the interval between Idle Master checking for cards. Playing multiple games does not alter the frequency of Idle Master's check. Playing multiple games will increase the interval between receiving cards.
