The "Idling Complete" message means Idle Master thinks none of your games have drops remaining. Idle Master will only run games that have drops remaining.

Free-2-Play games do not give any drops just for adding the game to your Library, you must spend 9$US for each drop you want. Non-F2P games give half (rounded up) the number of cards in the set. Duplicates will count against your allotment of drops. Trading/Selling/Using the cards will not grant you replacement cards.

Unless there's been a change I missed, it's quite possible. From the FAQ:

Can Idle Master be used to pad my playtime of a particular game?

The steam-idle.exe application that's included with Idle Master can be given a command line argument of the appid of the game you'd like to idle. For example, if you'd like to idle Team Fortress 2 for playtime, you can simply run "steam-idle.exe 440" from a command prompt. There is no user interface for this, it must be done through the command line.

Unless you're running from withing the Idle Master folder, you'll need to include the full path to "steam-idle.exe"
E.G.

I've never seen any evidence to support claims that Idle Master will result in a VAC ban, but that doesn't mean that tomorrow Valve will change it's mind regarding IM.

Free-to-Play games (like Unturned) do not give you any drops just for adding them to your Library. If you want drops you must spend 9$US through the in-game store for each drop.

As long as you don't connect to a VAC secured server, you can't get a VAC ban. Like Idle Master, SAM doesn't actually run the game so it won't connect to a server.

I do not follow SAM enough to know how likely a VAC ban will be if you leave SAM running when you start a different game and connect to a secured server through that game.

From a loose interpretation of the Steam Subscriber Agreement, yes it's against the rules. Idle Master is automation software and trading cards could be considered part of the Subscription Marketplace. That being said, Valve is well aware of Idle Master and has made no indication that they care if you use it. It's possible Valve does not consider trading cards as part of the Subscriber Marketplace, in which case IM is not in violation of the SSA.

Yes, you can run Idle Master on Team Fortress 2. Idle Master does not run the actual game so it can not connect to VAC enabled servers. If you're not connected to a VAC server, you will not trigger a VAC check.

You could, but since you don't get cards from F2P games unless you spend money on them it would be a pointless feature. If you spend money on F2P games to the point you have drops, Idle Master will already idle them.
