Idle Master does not have a list of games, instead it downloads your Badges page and checks which games have drops remaining.

There should be a blacklist option. Just add the game's AppID to the list and Idle Master will ignore it.

There's been no evidence that it'll cause a ban.

It's not impossible that tomorrow Valve will decide to start banning people, but they are aware of Idle Master and so far they have done nothing to stop its usage so I highly doubt they will start any time soon.

Unless you're running the command from within the Idle Master folder, you'll need to include the full path. The command will look something along the lines of

If you're running the portable version, the path will be to wherever you extracted it.

The number is the AppID, every game has one. The URL for the store is one place you can check the AppID

Can Idle Master be used to pad my playtime of a particular game?

The steam-idle.exe application that's included with Idle Master can be given a command line argument of the appid of the game you'd like to idle. For example, if you'd like to idle Team Fortress 2 for playtime, you can simply run "steam-idle.exe 440" from a command prompt. There is no user interface for this, it must be done through the command line

The command either needs to be either run from within the Idle Master folder or the "steam-idle.exe" portion must contain the full path.

On it's own, Idle Master will not cause a VAC ban. VAC checks are only performed when connected to a VAC enabled server. Idle Master doesn't run the actual game so it's impossible for it to connect to a VAC server.

just to address the obvious points, do you have "libsteam_api32.so" and "libsteam_api64.so" in the Idle Master folder? Do you have the Steam client running when you start the script?

You do not need to start the game to qualify for drops. As long as your Badges page says you have drops remaining for that game, then Idle Master should run it.

Free-to-Play games do not give cards just for adding them to your Library, instead you must spend 9$US on DLC/micro-transactions for each drop. Market transactions do not qualify.
