If you have nmo PLAY buttons on your badges page then you have no games that you can Idle for cards.

Free cards are not unlimited.

The source code is openly available so if anything was malicious it would have been found a long time ago.

This is from the same guy who makes Enhanced Steam and Steam Invite Spam Filter.

As a few above have said do not use it while palying another game. The amount of time it takes to get a card drop is increased when more than one game is running. Also if you play VAC enabled games they could potentially see this as a "hack" or unauthorized program and get you a VAC ban. While there is no concrete proof of this why take the risk.

While I am not knocking the program I really suggest you provide a link to the actual file not a image and also provide the source code if it is your program or a info about the person who created it.

The reason I ask for the source code is for several reason:

1 - people can look through it to make sure that nothing is malicious.
and
2 - The fact that the idle program you posted is 3 times the size as Idle Master. There is no reason for a program like this to be almost 8mb when Idle Master, which is doing the exact same process, is only 2.5mb.

Honestly I suggest peple stand clear of this. Just seems to fishy to me. Rather be safe than sorry.

If not then you have no more free card drops.

On the second page I detail with a step by step ow to do it. Keep in mind that, while it can be done, the program was not designed for this task so there is no easy interface to do it.

Legal conflicts?

Try the following:

Click Start
Click My Computer (This PC on Win 8)
Double Click the C: Drive
In the Search box for Drive C: search for steam-idle.exe
Let it complete the search
Look for steam-idle.exe (It will have the Steam Piston logo)
Right Click it (if more than one use the first listing)
Select Run as Admin

Steam updates do not affect the "safeness" of IM.

With software like this you "Use at your own risk".

While no one has ever gotten in trouble for using this software there is nothing saying that eventually someone will. But I think if Steam/Valve had any issues with it it would have been addressed by now.

If at some point Valve has any issues with IM I am sure they will warn its users, as well as the creator of IM, that they need to stop using IM or risk their accounts.

Does Steam show you as playing the game that IM is idling?

Because if Steam says you are playing the game then there is no reason why the cards should not be dropping.

IM just simulates the game being played by tricking the client that you are actually running the game.

If Steam says you are in that game then the issue is with Steam.

Like I said earlier you would be the first person to get banned using IM and playing a VAC based game. Judging by the fact you already had a VAC ban I would suspect something else has happened to cause this ban.
