You only get 1/2 the cards a game has for free. Rest need to be traded ou bought in the market. So if a game has 8 cards you get 4 free drops. It it can also drop the same card more than once. So it is possilbe to get the same card 2 or 3 times. Also you can get a rare foil drop which will take away one of the free drops.

Go to your badges page. It will show you the remaing free card drops on all your games that have cards.

If a game has card drops it will simulate running the game to cause those cards to drop.

All games on Steam will work.

I believe it is a bug in 0.9. I was getting that to when I used it. Something changed and the older version of IM calculated cards incorrectly

In the Idle Master window does it say ### Games left to idle, 31 games idle now?

OK well just so you know that 0.9 version does not do the 2 hour idle thing.

So it is going to take a LOT longer to get cards for games that do not have 2 hours on them yet. Especially if you have a lot of games that have less than two hours on them.

I deleted my old install of IM that was giving me issues and redownloaded it and its working fine now. I was getting the error where it would just sit there and do nothing.

Try this and see if it works for you guys..

- Stop Idle Master if it is running
- Go to C:\Users\YOUR PC USER NAME\AppData\Local\Apps
- In there there is a folder named "2.0"
- Rename it to something like "2.0 OLD"
- Download latest IM from HERE: https://github.com/jshackles/idle_master by clicking the Download Zip button on right side
- Save to desktop and unziup there
- Run the setup file
- When IM starts up log into Steam

Doing this worked for me and now the install version is working fine so I don't have to use the portable version anymore.

That means IM is running 30 games at a time. I think the 31 is an error but not sure. Don't worry though as IM will still do it's job.

If you have more than 30 games get to the 2 hour mark it will run another batch until all your games are at 2 hours. The maximun amount of games that can be run at one time is 30 (which is why I think that the 31 is an error). Anything more and Valve will not record the times.

So if you have 65 games to get to two hours it will run 3 batches. 30, 30 and 5. Taking 6 hours to get them all to 2 hours. Then it will idle 1 game at a time for drops.

Also at the top it should say something like this "15 games left to idle, 10 idle now" (of course your numbers will be different)

If it says 1 idle now it is farming for card drops as it is only running 1 game at a time. If it says 10 idle now it is running in multi-game mode to get those 10 games up to the 2 hour mark so they are eligable for card drops. After all your games are at the 2 hour mark it will jump into single game mode to farm for cards automatically.

every 15 mins IM checks your badge page to see if the game it is idling dropped a card. If it did it drops the remaining card counter by the amount of card drops. IM does not actually know when a card actually drops so it needs to keep checking.

This is so it knows when to switch to a new game, when the game no longer has drops left.
