I recently had the idle_master_py-master folder in my downloads but wanted to clear it out and moved it to my documents folder. I changed the Terminal command to

cd ~/Documents/idle_master_py-master/Releases/OS\ X/; chmod +x start; chmod +x steam-idle; ./start

and the only difference beforehand was that Documents was Downloads. It worked a few times in my Docs folder but now it just won't rfind that I do ave games with drops. I tried updating my cookies in the settings file (btw right now as I type this I don't even see a sessionid cookie).

It would be nice to get a GUI like Windows but I get that's not possible without a Mac to develop on. I do think better instructions for Mac would be nice though. It took me a lot of searching on how to get it running on Mac.

You need to input the full path to Idle Master. The command will be something along the lines of "c:\Program Files (x86)\Idle Master\steam-idle.exe" 730

I don't use the windows version so I'm not certain on the exact directory. And if you're using the Portable version, it will likely be completely different.

Have you found a way to force-idle games on Linux/OS X?

I think it might be more than you think. People who get Pushbullet/email notifications for every post on the free games subreddit are adding new games almost daily and they often have cards. I'm not saying it should be priority, just letting you know that there are probably more people than you think there are with this issue. But I agree, it's not a "major design flaw" as OP stated.

How do you get it running on OS X? I get it running but I never get any drops. Does it take longer to get drops on OS X than Windows? I left it overnight on OS X and got nothing in morning, run for 15 min on Windows, couple drops.

I already had that steam-idle (with no extension) file in the main directory and it still gives that error when I replaced it in case they were different for some reason. I modified that line of the script and now it seems to be working, I think. It gave me this http://puu.sh/krZ7J.png (the thing about the missing PIL module) but it looks like it's working now. Except for the fact that my icon is still blue which shows me as Online and not In Game which happens when I run the app in Windows.

I think it would be nice if you gave some basic instructions on what to do to get it running on OS X since I had to find a reddit post about it :/

`python2 start.py` returns "command not found." Maybe because I am on OS X not Linux? When I type in uname I get Darwin.

I'm on OS X and I finally got it to run via help from a post on Reddit. But I'm stuck at a problem that the reddit users couldn't help me with. Here's an image: http://puu.sh/krQ2z.png

Hopefully the creator can chime in and help me resolve this because I primarily use OS X and it would suck if I had to boot into Bootcamp to idle my games :/

As far as I can tell, the BS4 warning isn't critical to this error and is a suggestion to choose a parser and I'd like to fix that too but I don't know Python. The main problem is the red error line it keeps throwing. I've tried blacklisting the games that error but they all do.
