1) Launch Idle Master and wait for the first card to drop
2) After the first card drops, launch a Valve game without card drops (I tested with CS:S) using the same account
3) After 10 minutes, from what you're saying, it sounds like another card should drop (in my testing, it did not)
4) Close CS:S, wait another 10 minutes
5) After another 10 minutes, launch CS:S again
Using this method, the card drops for the game that Idle Master chose still took around 30-45 minutes each to drop. In your own testing it also sounds like this is something that doesn't always work 100% of the time, at least when using a non-Valve game.
I'll try a few other combinations of things to see if I can get it to work, but I don't see this being added as a feature until it can be done reliably 100% of the time.
i have still 100+ card drops on cs:go, so i started idle master for simulating cs:go, then wait 10 minute (maybe 9, maybe 11; until the card drops, but if it doesn't dropped that means you need to open the second game and wait to drop) so i start and close like i wrote, still working for me.
actually i'm trying to detect the drop time as second, sometimes it is like 9 min, sometimes 10, sometimes 11. it need to be checked properly to find out the pattern. (need some timer program which starts with the second game and stops when you close it)
i tried this with left 4 dead 2, it works too. but when i use it with a automatic exe opener and closer program (which a friend of mine wrote for me) l4d2 closing after 4-5 min itself, i don't know why. and i can't use my program for automaticly open/close with cs:s, because i need exe file, but cs:s uses hl2.exe so when you click on it, it show an error. also i said it doesn't work properly with non-valve game because i tried many combinations of games but it's not working good with my own program, maybe it's program fault, maybe they will work too when you use them manually, i didn't tried this.
besides this all, when i use with manually opening and closing. i'm %100 sure it's working. i'm using this method for weeks. and i opened a topic on steamgifts (link is on your topic) people said it works for themselves too.
One thing you could try for your own program, is you can run the steam-idle.exe application provided with Idle Master to manually idle the game. For example, if you wanted to idle Counter Strike: Source, you could run "steam-idle.exe 240" rather than the game's actual EXE file.
i tried some indie games like air forte (20mb game) and happy song prototype (doesn't count on steam profile) as second, but it doesn't worked properly for something i don't know.
here is our program (need some turkish, you can figure with experience either) https://mega.co.nz/#!GQUiFK5T!H-GeR_ADhChM6l_6BH1O7azxLJD1gznlG7_XEZnMS7s
(need .net framework 4.0)
actually i didn't tell my friend where i need this program, just tell him i need a program which starts a program, after 10 min it closes automaticly, after 10 min it starts again. so he wrote something usefull but we can say its a prototype. maybe it helps you some how.
how to use:
first, you need to open the second game and refresh the apps tab (çalışan uygulamaları yenile button)
then select the game exe, and copy to game exe file way to there
for last select minute, and click on "döngüyü başlat" which means start the loop.
it works with l4d2 good at first then it closes i think it closes because it opened the game from the exe file, not in steam library.
I know it is possible to idle at least two games at once.
