Are you manually starting GMod and then Idle Master? If you want to idle a game, there's no reason to manually start the game, Idle Master will do that on its own.

You don't need to select the game, IM checks your Badges page, generates a list of games that have drops remaining and then idles those games.

There should be a picture in Idle Master showing what game you're idling. Steam will also report that you're in game that you're idling.

well no games will start no matter what game i use

What exactly it happening? The two most common issue either having no drops remaining or Idle Master and Steam are running at different user levels.

If you don't have drops remaining, you need more drops (I.E. buy more games)
If it's a different user level, run right click on the Idle Master icon and select Run as Administrator
