Easy Questions, Hopefully easy Answers.
  1. (personal Q) Is it against rules to idle a game? I'm gonna use this amazing product to its full
potential, but simplifying it, you are reaping the awards of a game without playing it, and that
sounds way to good to be true.

  2. Are there any games that should I should avoid idle'ing?

  3. Does idle'ing games increase there hour played status? (I like to see those numbers high)

  4. In the FAQ, and in the Card FAQ, it's stated that "Cards drop at a rate of 1 card for every $9
spent in-game or on DLC purchases," for F2P that is. Is this negated if the game has pre-
existing cards, i.e: TF2 has cards, but was made free, does that mean you can get those
cards still, or do you have to spend $9 for each card? (I was unclear on this)

  5. Is there a "manual" for the settings? Like an in depth description, i.e: Brightness, the higher
your brightness, the more dark areas you can see. The Lower it is, the more you can see in
bright areas. (Don't stress yourself finding a link. But if yes, just say the location it can be
    found.)

  6. When a game starts taking forever to find a card, like an hour, should it be skipped?

  7. (I haven't looked yet) Where can you find the cheap games that have cards? I don't plan on
spending hundreds to get cards, sadly.

  8. Can you play a game at the same time you are idle'ing it? (The same game)

  9. When idle'ing multiple games, I noticed that it switches the "current game" status to each
game you are idle'ing. Does this spam friends with the notification? Is there a way to appear
online but not display current game?

  10. Does having steam status set to Offline, affect the IM's process?

If possible, without giving you a headache, could you respond to the qestions in the format of "(Question #.)Answer" So like (1. Yes | 2. No. ) !Thank you for your time, and your help!

  1. No. Steam's official stance is basically "Meh". They don't approve or disapprove.

  2. Don't play VAC games while idling. It gets you VAC kicked and that's annoying.(NOT a ban, just kicks you from your game)

  3. Yes. In fact you have no choice.

  4. If you owned the game prior to it becoming free to play you get half-a-set like normal AND can gain further cards per $9. If you install it post-free-to-play you only get the $9 stuff.

  5. Sadly no, but most of it is pretty self-explanatory and this forum exists for the stuff which isn't.

  6. Our usual advice to get cards quickly is to skip to the next game every 5 minutes. If this fails, then there's also suspicion that Valve has set the games to only drop after the 3 hour mark has been hit. We're not sure why, it's a pain.

  7. Join giveaway groups or a group like "Free game finder". These guys post up games for cheap and free.

  8. Yes but you won't get any card drops until you close both idle and game.

  9. It will and personally I have annoyed friends to hell and back with it. If you find a way to not spam them let me know.

  10. Being offline on Steam will prevent idling from proceeding (Idlemaster will clock up time, but nothing will drop and steam hours will not increase).

Thank you! Already in love with not only this program, but the community as well.

I did read this:

"Click "add non-steam game" then add something like notepad. You can then rename it whatever you want to make it less suspicious. Run it from steam and it will show you as in a non-steam game called whatever you decide to name it. Then run the game you actually want to play and your status will remain in the non-steam "game" you launched first."

From: https://www.gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/94211/is-there-any-way-to-hide-your-steam-status-from-others Had formating trouble with that apparently

But, without trying it, I could tell you that the constant changing of game status will override that.

There is an option under the Friends tab in the settings that says: "Automatically sign into Friends when I start Steam" I wonder if you untick it, if it will allow you to stay online, but without spamming friends.
