Idle problem : Steam not running

so im new to idle master and when i started it it kept on saying "Steam is not running"
i tried everything - i ran steam as a normal user , i restarted everything , i changed the options to ignore steam client status and it still says steam is not running .. Help ?

Check your settings and set them to see hidden folders.

also when i open idle master it makes 3 new things on my desktop : 1 is a text document named Error the other one is steam api dll and the 3rd thing is CSteamworks.dll
