If Valve had something against Idle Master then it would only be fair for them to say so, they've allowed it and other automation for years, it's not like they don't see these groups which are here on steam.
It's obvious that high level users like Stacker and PalmDesert must be using bots / automation, they couldn't get to the level they are any other way during steam sales. Valve implicitly allows all these things by having done nothing for years.
And why wouldn't Valve want you to have the cards? Every time someone buys or sells a card they take a cut. You get half a badge set per game, Idle Master doesn't change that.
Also, I don't have a picture in Idle Master of the steam game being played when using the program as shown on the website. Besides that, it's working wonderfully; I can sleep peacefully. Now if only it had an option to automatically shutdown the computer when it finishes.
