Noob programmer obviously added 'steam idlers' to the list which is obviously pointless as idle master can't be used to cheat.

Solution is simple, either blacklist your vac game in idle-master or don't use idle-master whilst playing vac game.

This is why we say not to run idlemaster with vac games...

I just scanned Idle-master at virus total, it's not showing any negative results, and that includes Symantec.

I'd like to know what exactly sets VAC error off..
mrL0G1C: Either
1) Idle master running
2) Idle master idling non-VAC game
3) idle master running different VAC game
4) idle master running same VAC game as being played

I might get round to testing this this weekend... if I can / don't have VAC game with card drops remaining.

Idle Master may not be explicitly blacklisted by VAC, it could just be that VAC doesn't like 2 vac games running at once, or VAC doesn't like the additional steam login. Hopefully Valve will remedy this.

It's nothing about 2 VAC games running at once. I highly doubt Valve will fix it unless they add it to whitelist. Valve stepping up the game vs cheaters and want to make dll injection into csgo much harder. Thats why they make sure if they spot .dll running in some sort that is not offical and somewhat connected to Steam it will kick you out of VAC (my guess).

so apparently it's just a warning and doesn't trigger a ban uh? I almost had an heart attack when it happened on CSGO, I closed it and check for game cache and the error is gone, phew.

Symantec is not flagging it as a virus. It's getting removed due to a "Reputation Scan". I'm guessing people who are getting VAC banned are flagging it as malicious/untrusted software.

I don't have the habit of idling during gaming, but once in every while I get kicked from csgo, and am unable to find a dota 2 game, where a message pops up and prevents me from playing.

Is just having the idlemaster files on the pc enough to trigger the warning?

No, but from reports using it seems to leave a "trace" which can be picked up by VAC. It is removed upon performing a file verification of the game and/or VAC program.

Simply removing idle master doesn't fix the issue because of this.

Hi, I was searching for easy ways to level up and bumped into idlemaster's website then i searched for how to use and this thread came up that saying Valve triggers VAC if idlemaster is used.

Could you tell me if idlemaster is safe to use? Also will i get any VAC bans using this?
