Remote Play client PC cannot connect.

ISSUE
When launching any game via Remote Play, it shows “connecting” and then returns to the desktop.
The host PC runs the game fine, but the Remote Play client PC cannot connect.

OS
Windows 10

STEPS

Launch the game

Attempt to connect (connection drops/crashes)

Returns to desktop

RESULTS
The above steps keep repeating.

EXPECTED
Remote Play suddenly stopped working 3 days ago.
Previously, it worked without any issues.

I'm having the same issue. I was using Remote Play normally until last week, but it hasn't been working for a few days now.

Helped Open Steam.

Go to Steam → Settings.

In the left menu, select Interface.

Find Participate in the Steam Beta Program and click Change….

Choose Steam Beta Update from the dropdown and confirm.

Restart Steam to apply the update.

check for updates on the steam link client device

steam link forum has subforums for each device type
android, apple/ios, mac, linux, pi

apple/android stores may not have latest one yet, grab the apk/installer from the sticky thread

Bro thank you. It solved the problem. Guess it happened because I tried to play the Anno Pax Romana demo. Thanks a lot and happy gaming
